This blog is dedicated to individuals who love to explore the possibilities in their lives and to those who are just beginning this delicious journey.
What is possible when we give ourselves permission to think outside the box? What a scary and yet, exciting thought. An opportunity to toss aside the shoulds and ought to's and simply allow ourselves, for a few (gasp!) moments to consider the "what if's" or "if only's". When we allow ourselves to see possibilities we give ourselves permission to get out of our own way and we then can see those things that move us. We allow ourselves to tap into who we are at our core and acknowledge what we are all about!
I can tell you (based on my own experience) that giving ourselves permission to consider possibilities in our life is scary and yet, as I said, so deliciously exciting! It's like daring to try something new. I remember the first time I attempted a Ropes Course, or the first time I rode a roller coaster. I was so afraid of what might happen, both good and bad, and at the same time, so excited to try something unknown. Possibilities thinking allows us to play full out. It allows us to consider all of the things that we think we can't think about. At the same time, possibilities thinking is frightening. It is unknown, it is risky and it can be emotional. It forces us to acknowledge our negative thoughts (our gremlims, as my coach Sabrina calls them) and it forces us to put all of our cards on the table and acknowledge who we really are as human beings!
Here is my challenge for those of reading this blog: Tell me about an experience where you allowed yourself to play full out. Tell me about a time when you attempted something that you had never done before. What was that experience like for you? Was it the most empowering thing you have ever done or did you feel like you were reminded of why you shouldn't have tried in the first place?
